Roles

Articles

There are two types of roles in JIFFY.ai:

  1. Pre-defined roles
  2. Custom roles

Pre-defined Roles

Privileges of pre-defined roles are defined during installation of the application.
A list of pre-defined roles is displayed in User Roles section of App Settings page.
The five pre-defined User Roles are:

Business User

A Business User has the following privileges:

  • Can access all Presentations
  • Can create and manage Secure Vaults
  • Cannot schedule or execute Tasks

Read Only

  • Can view Task design, Task configuration, and Task scheduler pages
  • Can create and manage Secure Vaults
  • Cannot schedule or execute Tasks

Designer

A Designer has the following privileges:

  • Create and manage Apps
  • Create and manage Tasks, Presentations, Datasets, Models, Filesets
  • Import and export Tasks from one App to another
  • Create and manage Clusters
  • Create Custom Roles
  • Add users to an app and manage their roles
  • Create and manage Secure Vaults
  • Can schedule and execute Tasks

Release Admin

A Release Admin has the following privileges:

  • Manage Secure Vaults
  • Manage Configurations
  • Add User as a Business User role
  • Import/Export an App
  • Add bot to Cluster
  • Can schedule and execute Tasks
  • Can invite other release admins into the App

Support

A Support User has the following privileges:

  • Add user as Business User role
  • Add bot to Cluster
  • Can schedule and execute Tasks
  • can view the failed/passed task execution history in detail but they can not modify the task or configuration.
  • Can view the task schedule page, including the run tasks, Scheduled Runs, and Execution history.

Custom Roles

You can also create Custom Roles as per the automation requirements, in User Roles section of App Settings page, for example, Approver, Requester, etc.
