Create Jiffy Table

Jiffy table can be created using Predefined Schemas or New Schemas.

Predefined Schemas

The schemas for standard tables are available for easy use. They are:

  • Email: To store the email details.
  • Email Attachment: To store the attachment details.
  • File Explorer List: To store the details of the file.
  • Email With Attachment: To store both email and attachment details in the same table.

The columns and Datatypes of the predefined columns are non-editable.

New Schema

Users can define the schema by adding the fields to the table as per their requirement using the New schema.

  1. Enter a name in the Table Name field.
  2. Select New Schema from the drop-down in the Schema field.
  3. To add more columns, click the + icon.
  4. Name the column and assign a visual type to the respective columns from the Field Type drop-down.
  5. Click the Create button.

In a Purchase Order HyperApp, Jiffy Table is created with New schema as shown below.

Ordering of the Columns

A drag handle Image description icon is used to drag and drop the column to the desired place for ordering the column in the Jiffy Table. The columns are displayed within the table in Presentations and Forms in this order.

Inline Table

If the field type for a column is set as Table, then it will be added as an inline table to the existing Jiffy table.

You can add up to four nested inline tables.

How to create Inline table

  1. Click the + button, enter the column name and select the field type as Table in the main table.
  2. Click the Image description icon to define the inline table.
  3. Click the + button to add more columns.
  4. Enter the column name and field type. Click the Save button.

You can add Alias names for each field if required.
