Use this function to get a new string that is a substring of the input string. Substring begins at the given start index and extends till end index without including end index.

Syntax

Substring (end_index, start_index, input)

Parameters

Index starts with 0.

Returns

Sample

Substring (3, 1, abcde)

• Gets the substring abcde between indexes 1 and 3.
  Returns bcd.
