Mode defines the operation you want to perform in the handwritten document.

Following are the four modes available in Hand Written Text Extraction node. Based on the operation to be performed in the document, mode is selected from the drop-down.

• Convert Handwritten Text to Print.
• Extract Handwritten Segment as Image.
• Extract only Handwritten Text.
• Remove Handwritten Text.

The Invoice PDF with handwritten text shown below is processed in different modes.

Convert Handwritten Text to Print

This mode converts handwritten text to a machine-readable text.

All the handwritten texts in Invoice PDF are converted to machine-readable text in the output PDF.

Extract Handwritten Segment as Image

This mode extracts the handwritten segment from the document as image, for example, signature from a document.

The handwritten segments from Invoice PDF gets extracted as images in the output PDF.

Extract only Handwritten Text

This mode extracts only handwritten text segment from the document and converts it into machine-readable text in the output PDF.

The handwritten segment alone gets extracted from Invoice PDF as machine-readable text in the output PDF.

Remove Handwritten Text

This mode removes handwritten text from a document.

The handwritten text from Invoice PDF is removed from the document.

The output PDF can now be processed in a DOC Reader node. The converted handwritten text are extracted from the PDF for further processing.
